Save/Import Project and Models
Isalos offers various options for managing your projects and models. You can save, open, and import projects or models directly from the File
menu for easy workflow management.

Creating a New Project
To start a new project, select File
\(\rightarrow\) New
[1] or press Ctrl
+ N
on your keyboard.
Saving Projects/Models
At any point during your work, select File
\(\rightarrow\) Save As
[1] from the menu to save the entire project, including all data, models, and configurations. This will save your project in Isalos’ native format for project files (.iap file).
Make sure to also click File
\(\rightarrow\) Save
[2] or press Ctrl
+ S
on your keyboard periodically to ensure you don’t lose any progress. This will update the current project with the latest changes.
To save a specific model in your project, you must select File
\(\rightarrow\) Import Model from
\(\rightarrow\) Current project
[3] and select the model you would like to import [4]. This will save the model in Isalos’ native format for models (.iapm file), in the application models folder [6] within your Isalos installation directory.
Importing Projects/Models
To revisit a saved project and pick up from where you left off, click File
\(\rightarrow\) Open
[1] or press Ctrl
+ O
on the keyboard, then browse for the project file on your system.
If you would like to import a specific model into an existing workflow, select select File
\(\rightarrow\) Import Model from
\(\rightarrow\) File
[2] and browse and select the model you would like to import into your project.
Exporting Models
You can export existing models in your application’s model’s folder to share with others. Select Export Model to File
[1] from the File
menu and choose the model you would like to export from the application.
Deleting Models
If you wish to delete a model from your application’s models folder, you can select File
\(\rightarrow\) Delete Model
[1] and choose the model you would like to delete.
Exporting Data
You can also export your project data of choice into an Excel workbook. Select File
\(\rightarrow\) Export Project Data to File
[1], and choose the tabs you would like to export. Both the input and output spreadsheet of each tab will be exported. After selecting the tabs, click execute [2], and a file explorer will appear, navigate to the directory you wish to save the Excel file in.
